Notes on today's comic (21 Jun 2010):

This is actually based on a true event I witnessed, at least 20 years ago when I was still living with my parents in England... There really was sunshine on one side of the house, and rain on the other! Thankfully, I was inside at the time... Anyway, I should imagine that this sort of thing isn't really rare :)

News, Views and Just Plain Schmooze...

Monday 21 June 2010

Apologies, apologies... First of all, for last Wednesday: ComicGenesis had made a major change to their system, and was doing a full update for all 13,000-plus web comics - the problem was that there were numerous comics (not including mine, I hasten to add!) that were incorrectly set up, causing the revised system to lock up! Ironically, I normally do the Wednesday comic late, but this time had it uploaded hours in advance... only for the update to temporarily break!

And apologies for today's cartoon being late... I wasn't even sure I was in the mood to do it (things have been rather BLAH of late). But I got my arse in gear and did the job - late, yes, but I did it.

On the upside, there's been a visitor from Vietnam, bringing the country list up to 81 members... but on the downside, I'm inclined to wonder if I've scared away the visitor from Trondheim in Norway because of mentioning their city! Come back! :(

Wednesday 26 May 2010

Well, it seems the supply of countries has dried up again for the moment, but not the visits - up until yesterday, there have been just 3 short of 5,300!

Monday 17 May 2010

A few items, this time: First of all, a resident of Barbados has been to visit the site, bringing the total up to 80! Word is certainly getting around - even though it seems that most visits are single ones... though I do know that there are people who come back! A special thanks to those people!

Speaking of which, Google Analytics gives clues as to how often people come back (subject to shifting IP addresses): the "new visit percentage". For example, the USA is presently logged (from 22 Dec 08 to 15 May 2010) as 2,756 visits, but 81.60% new visits, though this can be misleading, because many Internet providers assign users a different "location" each time you visit. However, Norway (#4 on the list with 128 visits) has only a 3.91% new visit rate, of which the city of Trondheim has a 1.61% rate! As far as I can tell, I seem to have quite a fan in Trondheim! Thank you! (Please remember that I don't know who this person is, nor where they live, other than the city itself!)

Last but not least, Canada (#3) has gone over 200 visits, so thanks also to the Canadian readers!
