Notes on today's comic:

I don't know if it actually took place within British factories, but if comedian Mike Harding is anything to go by, new recruits at factories and the like were sent on errands to obtain impossible (and presumably funny) items, such as a tub of elbow grease, a long stand (you'd be taken somewhere and told to wait - being forced to stand there a long time, hence "long stand"), striped paint or a bucket of blue steam... Glad that sort of thing never happened to me!

Well, I've been having quite a bit of a play with the format of the pages, partly so that I could include a calendar to allow jumping to selected strips. The other reason, though, is so that I can include hopefully newsworthy or informational topics (and this section's title is quite possibly a work-in-progress), so if you don't want to go to the comic's Facebook page to get that sort of info, you don't have to! (Just means I have to do all the stuff twice *shrug*)
