Notes on today's comic:I was laughed at a lot as a child, by other children - and if any of you shuddered while reading today's comic, I truly sympathise... YEX (the brand I've used for Laura's car) is actually a real word in English. It's an archaic word, meaning "hiccups" - which I felt was oddly appropriate for a car... :) A silly little point (from the point of view of the comic), but perhaps important from an example point of view: I thought I was all done with this strip, and then I realised I forgot to draw in seatbelts! Can't have the characters risking a fine, you know... News, Views and Just Plain Schmooze...Monday 23 November 2009Up to 64 countries now... with the addition of Sri Lanka, Venezuela and Malta! If you click here, you can see them all... Took quite a bit of doing, this... and I've had a bit of a geography lesson in the process :) Wednesday 18 November 2009Sorry the comic was up late today. I was rather tired after I got back home, and I needed a nap! I've decided to get rid of the Paper or Plastic? Facebook Page... For one thing, there really wasn't much I was saying, other than the number of visits to this site, and additions of countries and new fans of the Facebook Page itself - and I can do that kind of stuff in this section of this site. Secondly, in all the time I had the page, I only ended up with 19 fans... and there wasn't much interaction anyway (which is what I'd hoped for when I set up the page in the first place). Wednesday 11 November 2009Since March, people from no less than 61 countries around the world have visited the Paper or Plastic site! Thanks to all of you who have visited - although I planned for the comic to be potentially seen worldwide, I'd not actually expected that I'd do so well in such a short space of time... |
