Notes on today's comic (19 Jul 2010):This actually happened last week - I don't often come up with rapid comebacks, and I think this is my best one to date :) News, Views and Just Plain Schmooze...Monday 12 July 2010WOOHOO! I managed to fix the laptop myself! I did get some inspiration from my brother Patrick (who's a real whiz with computer hardware; I'm more a software-focused person), who told me there were some screws I needed to find and deal with... I found them, and succeeded in getting into where I needed to be to investigate and clean up - at one point, I was literally flossing the ventilation grill! Anyway, it's done wonders for my electronic friend, and I don't have to worry about the thing dropping dead on me! Yay! Wednesday 7 July 2010AAARGH! I'm really sorry that today's comic is so very, very late! The other day, I decided to give my laptop a reformat-and-reinstall, because it was suffering from various problems. But it seems that I've made it worse, because it's overheating like crazy! Also, the PAINT.NET program that I've been using isn't behaving properly at all, so I've been turning the air a fine old shade of blue *sigh*. Still, it's finally online! I hope I can get the PC fixed - or at least find some willing soul to donate their old one... Monday 5 July 2010Okay, I'm back! It was nice to have a bit of a break from drawing (and it's not like I make money from the thing, so I wasn't losing anything). Still having trouble trying to find stuff that's as funny as the earlier work, but who knows what might happen? In the break, two more countries visited the site: Malawi and Colombia! Welcome to both! Wednesday 23 June 2010I've been wondering about taking a break for a while, now. I don't plan to give it up completely, but I think it'd be a good idea to just step back from it a little bit, and hopefully things will improve! |
