Notes on today's comic (24 March 2010):

The things which cross my mind while I'm working on the checkout! I really did have this thought cross my mind when someone was buying protection - but it wasn't a manager to whom I posed the question!

News, Views and Just Plain Schmooze...

Wednesday 24 March 2010

After a long wait, another country has joined the viewer list: Finland! That brings the total up to 73!

I'm relieved that I managed to come up with something for today's comic, because I was really beginning to doubt myself. I don't put in as much practice as I should (actually, the only practice I get is when I'm drawing the next comic), which is absolutely shameful. But it's difficult at times to give myself the kick up the backside that I know I need. Hopefully I can do something about this before too long. Wish me luck.

Happy St Patrick's Day, if you're celebrating!

Monday 8 March 2010

4,000! I wasn't sure if I was going to do it before 22 March (when the Google Analytics counter resets), but Paper or Plastic? has now had over FOUR THOUSAND visits! A huge thank-you to all of you, especially those who choose to come back!

Oh, keep a look out for an extra comic on Sunday 14 March - that's when Mother's Day is celebrated in Britain...

Monday 1 March 2010

The site's getting really close to 4,000 visits now... with the USA over 2,100, and the UK at 999! (I wrote this note in the wee small hours of Saturday morning, so it'll be over 1,000 by Monday, all being well!). Also, El Salvador is the 72nd country to visit!

Today, I'd like to give a shout out to Bridgett Spicer, a very talented web comic artist and painter from California who creates an excellent comic called Squid Row. Of course, if there's anyone who happens to read both this website and the Monterey County Herald (you never know!), then I'm telling you something you already know! I'm so thrilled for Bridgett that they took her comic! Oh, although I've included the link for the comic, you might want to visit this link first, because that's where the first Squid Row strip is located (at least it was at the time of writing). You can find out still more about Bridgett here.
