0184 - No Butt-Kissing

Notes on today's comic (27 Sep 2010):

I rather get the feeling that Joe might not be staying around too long... especially since Frank's not going to be too pleased about being hoodwinked into hiring him...

On this subject, the viewpoint of Penny and the managers is most definitely my own: I refuse to suck up to superiors. Admittedly, I'm not wanting any kind of promotion anyway, but I'd rather try to do my best at what I do, rather than use sycophancy to cover inadequacy!

Greg and Sue are two more Target colleagues I wanted to introduce into the Supa$hoppa staff - at this rate, there are going to be more characters based on real people than fictional ones! I particularly wanted to add Sue, because she's been a real "cheerleader" for Paper or Plastic?

The evolution of the comic continues, no matter how small... It's amazing how much more alive the characters look when you add little white dots into the pupils of the eyes!

WOOHOO! I thought it would never happen, but it has: I've now had readers from every state in the USA! Whoever in New Mexico paid a visit, thank you!

Firstly, the country count advances a little farther: Costa Rica brings the number to 88. Welcome, Costa Rica!

Second, I've decided to put in the numbers and titles of the comics into the notes sections, and I'm slowly advancing through the archives, correcting accordingly. This also means that I've got to add in some notes, because some days, I didn't make any comments. It's also a touch confusing, because in order to help me, I numbered and titled each comic as I drew them - but they weren't always put online in the same order in which they were drawn! I've not done that in a while, but returning to the earlier ones is making my head spin just a little!

Anyway, I'll announce when I've got the updates completed :)

It's Jenny Everywhere Day, where artists are encouraged to create their own version of Jenny Everywhere, possibly the world's first open-source, public-domain character. I found out about Jenny Everywhere quite by accident, and it fired me up into considerable enthusiasm :) You can find lots of Jennys, both in strips and cameos, here.
