0186 - You Did WHAT???Notes on today's comic (4 Oct 2010):A wise lady said that the best way of dealing with criticism of her artwork was to draw a picture... and I've got a similar principle when it comes to guests that you'd really rather strangle. The other day, I really did have a guest who handed me a towel and said she'd used it to dry off her wet cart! Now, I'm not some kind of brainwashed drone, but I actually take a pride in the store where I work, and my colleagues who work there - so if you mess with stuff in the store, you're messing with me! In the real-life version of this, I managed to control myself (I'm better at self-control than I thought), but I did get really angry about it - hence this comic. My first imagining of how this strip would go had the woman flying horizontally across the panel, but I felt that was going a little far... News, Views and Just Plain Schmooze...Monday 4 October 2010Paper or Plastic? has now had over 7,000 visits! Thanks to everyone who visited since December 2008 - and a special thanks to those who've been coming back! Monday 27 September 2010The evolution of the comic continues, no matter how small... It's amazing how much more alive the characters look when you add little white dots into the pupils of the eyes! Monday 30 August 2010WOOHOO! I thought it would never happen, but it has: I've now had readers from every state in the USA! Whoever in New Mexico paid a visit, thank you! Wednesday 25 August 2010Firstly, the country count advances a little farther: Costa Rica brings the number to 88. Welcome, Costa Rica! Second, I've decided to put in the numbers and titles of the comics into the notes sections, and I'm slowly advancing through the archives, correcting accordingly. This also means that I've got to add in some notes, because some days, I didn't make any comments. It's also a touch confusing, because in order to help me, I numbered and titled each comic as I drew them - but they weren't always put online in the same order in which they were drawn! I've not done that in a while, but returning to the earlier ones is making my head spin just a little! Anyway, I'll announce when I've got the updates completed :) |
