0194 - Being PreparedNotes on today's comic (3 Nov 2010):I'm glad I managed to come up with this strip, because I was having a lot of trouble trying to figure anything out! I dread Black Friday in retail, I really do... although, to be fair, it wasn't particularly traumatic last year. I was worried about the possibility of suffering a panic attack, because by November 2009, I'd become a cashier. But because the crowd was filtered through all of the checkout lanes, I didn't see it all; I was too occupied with serving the guests in my line. Still, November 26 is the date I'm worried about - wish me luck! News, Views and Just Plain Schmooze...Wednesday 3 November 2010A visitor from the Dominican Republic has helped to raise the total number of countries to 91! The other day, I was rather surprised and happy to realise that not only am I closing in on 200 comics, nearly two years have passed since I started doing this comic! I never dreamed that I would be able to carry on for so long with it... So I'm going to have to work out a special comic for Wednesday 22 December! Monday 25 October 2010Two more countries - Guam and Chile - have joined my little list of countries that have visited Paper or Plastic?, bringing the total to a nice, round 90! Total view count is just short of 7,300 :) Monday 18 October 2010Hearty well-wishes to my good friend Katherine Gordon in England, who celebrates her birthday today... Many happy returns! *hugs* Monday 11 October 2010Happy Columbus Day / Discoverer's Day (Hawaii) / Native American Day (South Dakota and certain tribal communities in Oklahoma) / Indigenous People's Day (California: Berkeley, Sebastopol and Santa Cruz)! Phew... I have enough trouble keeping up with American holidays anyway, let alone local variations - Wikipedia is your friend... |
