0218 - Fancy-Schmancy AccentNotes on today's comic (24 Feb 2011):This strip has been a long time in coming, for two reasons. First up, I wasn't sure if the visual joke with my speech bubble in panel 1 would work; hopefully, Kim's set-up in panel 2 explains what's going on in the first panel. Second, I've been trying to figure out how to do Sherrie's hair justice - drawing hair that's pulled back isn't easy. I might have to get her to change her hairstyle... ;) Anyway, I just thought, "Stuff it" (or something very similar), and just did the best I could. But there's another reason for actually doing the strip - I'm planning to use the accent thing in Monday's strip, but it won't be the joke itself. Hopefully this fairly enigmatic comment will make more sense then :) News, Views and Just Plain Schmooze...Thursday 24 February 2011Changing to Thursday made one heck of a difference; I felt more relaxed about getting the comic done yesterday. I've still got to get changes made on websites which link to this one, so that there's a revised banner. Goodness knows when I'll get around to it. Wednesday 9 February 2011First of all, apologies for not putting out a comic on Monday - I had these sketches drawn, although it was way past the deadline for automatic uploading, but I just wasn't feeling up to continuing. Second, I'm still getting to grips with the tablet PC's pen, so I hope you'll excuse any inconsistency with the drawing. I'm also drawing sketches much smaller than they need to be, which is causing problems later on. Of course, I'm not practicing anywhere near enough.
