0050 - Hearts and MindsI adapted this premise from Discworld author Sir Terry Pratchett, who in his book Small Gods, uses the line "Cuius testiculos habes, habeas cardia et cerebellum." which he translates (making it polite in the process) as "When you have their full attention in your grip, their hearts and minds will follow." Apparently, the original (more graphic) version of the quote is attributed to Chuck Colson, one of the people involved in the Watergate scandal of the 1970s. I love the Internet. |
