0055 - Not Tested on AnimalsAustin Seib is the son of the real-life version of Doreen (from the June 15 strip). He told me the joke in the hope that I'd be willing to draw it... and when I heard it, I couldn't resist! Thing was, he was specific about what the customer's clothes should look like (at least for the first panel) - a "tie-dye" effect, and the first couple of attempts just didn't seem right. Luckily, I found a tutorial online which helped no end in getting the look correct, and Austin and Doreen were thrilled with the end product :) Naturally, I had to credit him with coming up with the joke in the first place - I normally do anyway, but I wanted to make extra-certain this time, and to make sure Austin knew I was going to do that :) |
